Time for Catch Up!!!

OK! So I don't really even know where to start considering I have missed about 5 weeks of blogging! I apologize! This will be a LOOONNNGG post to being everyone up to speed! Where to begin!

I guess we will go back to Mid October- as many of you know, Aaron's parents were involved in a horrible car accident. We spent a week with them in MCV's ICU Trauma Unit. Both of them were badly hurt, but are home now and doing better. It's just going to take time until they are 100%, however we are very glad that they are here with us and are grateful for EVERYONE who helped us those few weeks! SO many people cooked them wonderful meals and helped them back and forth to the doctors appointments. Also thanks to the couple friends that took Aaron and I under their wings! You brought us snacks and cooked us dinner and were just there to talk when we needed it! THANK YOU! We couldn't have made it through that week without your help.

After we got home and got them settled, it was back to work for us! We were busy working on the nursery and I hope to do a full update on the nursery tomorrow once we get a few more things hung up! We are all done except for a glider and a a couple wall items! It looks so good and I am so thrilled with the outcome! And it was so much fun to decorate :) We got all of the furniture last week and Aaron put everything together!! I was SO happy with the set that we picked! It looks wonderful!!!

I have been doing really well with the pregnancy! I have learned that I cannot go sun up to sun down anymore without being tired, however I am trying to do as much as I can now so that I can rest later! I went to the doctor on Wednesday and had my glucose test. I am sad to say that i did not pass :( I was supposed to be 134 and was 169 so I have to go on Monday to take the dreaded 3 hour test :( So very bummed about that! I HATE needles. But hopefully I will pass that one and not have to worry about it. And if for some reason I don't, then I will just have to watch what I eat so that me and Colton stay healthy to finish out these last 3 months.

Other then that, the doctor said that I was doing wonderful! His heartbeat was 160 which was always wonderful to hear! I kind of wish that I had bought a doppler at the beginning because hearing his heartbeat is just priceless. Brings tears to my eyes everything! I cannot believe that we only have 12 weeks or LESS until he is here!!! I am so excited and ready for February! I hate to wish everything away, but I do because I just cannot wait!!!

Some other great things that have gone on are my niece's 4 year old birthday party was last Sunday! They had a blow up jump in thing for the kids and they LOVED it!!!! It was such a beautiful Sunday and we had so much fun seeing everyone! Here is a picture of the birthday princess:)

Also, with Thanksgiving this week, we have a short work week (yee hoo!) and MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE YEAR- BLACK FRIDAY!!!! My sis-in-law and I have this tradition of going out every year! And yes I will wobble through the stores this year and can hardly wait! I have my list ready and coupons together to get the best deals on everything for Christmas! I plan to do 95% on Friday and get it all wrapped so that I don't have to wrap anything at 8 months pregnant! HAHA The belly may get in the way! I am also excited because for the first year since Aaron and I got married, we are having ONE BIG Thanksgiving at my moms house this year! All 18 of us will be together and it will be great! Not to mention that we have SO many great things to be thankful for this year especially! Then after shopping on Friday, we will pack up and head to North Carolina to see my family there and also have my first baby shower! YAY! That will be so much fun! So excited for those coming up!

Well I guess that I need to post pictures and some updated stats! I promise to keep this up much better now that life has slowed down!

Here are the pictures that I missed!

  1. Ahh, leg cramps. I so don't miss those. Thankfully they weren't too bad this pregnancy. Calcium (milk) and potassium (bananas) are supposed to prevent them. And tilting the foot so the toes point toward the leg helps relieve cramps.
