All of the wonderful books that we received at my showers!

Lots of Catching Up to Do!!!!!

Well it has been WAAAYYY too long, even for me, to go without posting. However I am very excited that I now have an awesome new camera that I can post pictures easily so will PROMISE to keep this updated from here on out because we only have 6 weeks left!!!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! We had a great time with ours and enjoyed the few days off from work!

So first for some pictures, then some updates!

30 Weeks

31 Weeks

32 Weeks

So LOTS of things have happened since my last post! The most fun of course was that I had 2 beautiful baby showers!!! I will do a post on those later this week after I finish uploading the pictures! They were wonderful and Colton and I were showered with lots of wonderful things! I cannot wait for him to be here so that I can dress him up in every outfit that we have received!

I also have been going to my regular doctors appointments and they decided at 28 weeks that we would do another ultrasound at 32 weeks to make sure that Colton was growing accordingly since I have not gained a lot of weight. Well I was nervous at first and then I was excited because I realized that we could see him one last time before he is born! So Aaron and I went on December 15th to the last ultrasound and he measured perfectly!!! He was 4.9 pounds and in the 60th percentile which the doctor was very pleased with! I was so relieved and have started gaining a pound here and there, so that makes everything a little better! Here is a picture from the ultrasound that you can kind of see his face. He is adorable! (although I am slightly biased!) He is squished a little, but still love it :)

On another note, the "nesting" was in FULL swing and I have cleaned out EVERY closet and room in our entire house! The house has been completely repainted and changed and I am sooo excited that everything is DONE! I think that now I can enjoy these last couple weeks with no major projects to do around the house! AND the nursery will be DONE as soon as the Christmas tree comes down! It is actually done now, but it has the pack and play and stroller in there until we make room in the living room! I couldn't be happier with the nursery and will have a big reveal post on it hopefully by the weekend! I wanted to thank my bestie Amanda for coming over 2 times in the last 2 weeks to help me organize all of Colton's clothes and things! I was so overwhelmed because there was so much stuff! So she came over and helped me and we were able to get it all done AND all of the big stuff put together! So thanks a bunch! I couldn't have done it without you!

I think that is all for now, at least that I can think of! There will be more this week along with another doctors update on Thursday and pictures for 33 and 34 weeks! :)

Now for the Stats!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Total gained of 14 pounds, but only weigh 4 pounds more then when I got pregnant since I lost 10 the first 3 months!

Gender: SWEET BABY BOY!!!!

Movement: Lots! He doesn't kick as much as he used to, but he rolls all the time. He has this new thing where he gets behind my belly button and it makes me cringe because it feels so weird! HA!

Sleep: Not so great :/ I did sleep last night but I think that I was exhausted because I had not slept the last 5 nights! Hopefully this will get better, but at least I will be ready for sleepless nights when he arrives!

What I miss: Being able to shave my legs and put on my boots. HAHA! That is now a thing of the past.

Cravings: Nothing really! I did enjoy a big jar of cherries from my Grandma this Christmas and that was super yummy and made me want more!

Symptoms: Everything has been pretty good. I have to say that Aaron and I both decided the other night that we are ready for me to not be pregnant! Not to say that is hasn't been wonderful, (because I have been blessed with a VERY EASY pregnancy!!!)  but I am starting to get uncomfortable and am really anxious for Colton's arrival! I know that I will miss not being pregnant but I just want to hold that sweet baby!

Maternity Clothes: EVERYDAY!!! And I have really been into leggings!!! They are the MOST comfortable thing for preggos! Love them!

Best Moment this week: Realizing that we have 6 weeks left and only 3 until term!!! So excited and READY for him to make his debut!

Big Fat Happy Dance!!!!

So I just talked to my doctor's nurse and I PASSED my glucose test!!!! Not sure what happened with the first one, but its all worth it to be able to know that me and Colton are healthy! So what this means: I can eat whatever I want at Thanksgiving and I can eat the sweets at my baby shower on Saturday AND I can eat a pumpkin pie that I am making tonight! It's the little things :)

I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving with their families! We have SO much to be thankful for this year! I will post a full update with the baby shower and holiday on Monday! Have a great weekend!!!

Glucose Test :/

Well yesterday I went and had my 3 hour glucose test :/ I have to say that it wasn't AS horrible as I had heard, but it was still yuck! Just sitting in a room for 3 hours was BORING! But at least its over! I hopefully will know the results by tomorrow so that I can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and not have to worry about it!
I just hope that I never have to drink THIS again! BLEH!!!

It wasn't so bad the other day, but on a super empty stomach, ewwww yuck! Oh well! Glad its over and that I had a super awesome nurse who never hurt me drawing blood 4 times! Will post results as soon as I know!!!

Until then, on a happy note, my mom cut the sailboats for Colton's mobile so Aaron and I can start working on that tonight. The nursery is coming together! Pictures to post VERY soon of the preview! :)

Time for Catch Up!!!

OK! So I don't really even know where to start considering I have missed about 5 weeks of blogging! I apologize! This will be a LOOONNNGG post to being everyone up to speed! Where to begin!

I guess we will go back to Mid October- as many of you know, Aaron's parents were involved in a horrible car accident. We spent a week with them in MCV's ICU Trauma Unit. Both of them were badly hurt, but are home now and doing better. It's just going to take time until they are 100%, however we are very glad that they are here with us and are grateful for EVERYONE who helped us those few weeks! SO many people cooked them wonderful meals and helped them back and forth to the doctors appointments. Also thanks to the couple friends that took Aaron and I under their wings! You brought us snacks and cooked us dinner and were just there to talk when we needed it! THANK YOU! We couldn't have made it through that week without your help.

After we got home and got them settled, it was back to work for us! We were busy working on the nursery and I hope to do a full update on the nursery tomorrow once we get a few more things hung up! We are all done except for a glider and a a couple wall items! It looks so good and I am so thrilled with the outcome! And it was so much fun to decorate :) We got all of the furniture last week and Aaron put everything together!! I was SO happy with the set that we picked! It looks wonderful!!!

I have been doing really well with the pregnancy! I have learned that I cannot go sun up to sun down anymore without being tired, however I am trying to do as much as I can now so that I can rest later! I went to the doctor on Wednesday and had my glucose test. I am sad to say that i did not pass :( I was supposed to be 134 and was 169 so I have to go on Monday to take the dreaded 3 hour test :( So very bummed about that! I HATE needles. But hopefully I will pass that one and not have to worry about it. And if for some reason I don't, then I will just have to watch what I eat so that me and Colton stay healthy to finish out these last 3 months.

Other then that, the doctor said that I was doing wonderful! His heartbeat was 160 which was always wonderful to hear! I kind of wish that I had bought a doppler at the beginning because hearing his heartbeat is just priceless. Brings tears to my eyes everything! I cannot believe that we only have 12 weeks or LESS until he is here!!! I am so excited and ready for February! I hate to wish everything away, but I do because I just cannot wait!!!

Some other great things that have gone on are my niece's 4 year old birthday party was last Sunday! They had a blow up jump in thing for the kids and they LOVED it!!!! It was such a beautiful Sunday and we had so much fun seeing everyone! Here is a picture of the birthday princess:)

Also, with Thanksgiving this week, we have a short work week (yee hoo!) and MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE YEAR- BLACK FRIDAY!!!! My sis-in-law and I have this tradition of going out every year! And yes I will wobble through the stores this year and can hardly wait! I have my list ready and coupons together to get the best deals on everything for Christmas! I plan to do 95% on Friday and get it all wrapped so that I don't have to wrap anything at 8 months pregnant! HAHA The belly may get in the way! I am also excited because for the first year since Aaron and I got married, we are having ONE BIG Thanksgiving at my moms house this year! All 18 of us will be together and it will be great! Not to mention that we have SO many great things to be thankful for this year especially! Then after shopping on Friday, we will pack up and head to North Carolina to see my family there and also have my first baby shower! YAY! That will be so much fun! So excited for those coming up!

Well I guess that I need to post pictures and some updated stats! I promise to keep this up much better now that life has slowed down!

What's in a Name...

Here's the usual I am behind except this past week, we have had a good excuse! I will update on all of the past week's events later this week, but we wanted to kick off the week right with the name announcement! :) We are so excited and have had this name picked out for some time! I have liked it since I came up with it about 3 months ago... but we decided that it would stick once we knew were having a sweet little boy! So as many of you know, naming a baby is not the easiest thing in the world to do! There are SO many factors that go into the name! Can it be made fun of in any way, shape or size? Can it be rhymed with anything to make fun? Does it sound cute for a baby boy but tough for when they are big and strong! We also wanted something with a little southern charm :) So with all of those thoughts considered, we have decided to name our sweet baby boy...

COLTON STEVEN CAMPBELL

Colton because we just LOVE it and Steven after Aaron's dad :) We hope that you love it as much as we do! Well off to work now, but will update all of the pictures and past events as the week goes on! Happy Monday!

22 & 23 Weeks!

22 Weeks

22 Weeks with Ruger! He always wants to be in the pictures!

Well as always, it has been a crazy couple of weeks! One day, I might be able to start a post off with well it was slow week for us! HAHA Not! Anyways- it has been a wonderful week! I am really enjoying being pregnant and have so much fun every time this little guy kicks me! (which is very often!) And we have been lucky that Aaron has felt him a few times as well! He jumps when he kicks! Its so funny :)

Last week we got the house all cleaned up which always makes me feel better! We also got the closet all done and I will be painting the nursery next week! So excited! I took off 2 days from work to get some things done around the house and am really looking forward to making progress in there! Its kind of a mess! However, this weekend, we did get all of the clothes that people had given us hung up! They look SO cute! They are so tiny and I cannot wait for Baby C to be in them! I also got this really neat organizer from Toys R Us!

I had wanted something to fill the floor space of the closet because I LOVE to organize and HATE wasted space! So this was my solution! However at $59.99 is was a bit out of my budget. I drove over there anyway on Monday and decided just to "look"! HAHA Yea Right! Actually, I couldn't find them and then this very nice man, (Thank you Stephen!), helped me find them and then he said well you know we have this one thats on clearance. Well my ALERT LIGHTS went on- Clearance- of course I want to see it! HAHA I am the cheapest person there is! Anyways- long story short, it's missing one bin and has a scratch on the side. But oh well! Its going in a closet! So I got it for... are you ready... $22.93! SUPER excited about that deal! Well worth the trip and it fits perfect and will hold all sorts of goodies for Baby and then hold his toys once he is bigger :)

On Saturday, we had Lindsey's Bachelorette party which was so much fun! I only stayed for dinner at Kobe downtown because this preggo cannot hang with the girls at the bar as I ready for bed at 8:30, but we had a great time and will forever have memories of Sake (or Saki) Bombs! The girls definitely started a trend that night! But as always dinner was delicious as Hibachi is my FAVORITE! and I was a super happy momma with a very full tummy!!

Sunday, I went to see WICKED! I have never seen this before and it was amazing! There are not enough words to describe how wonderful the musical is! If you have time and are in Richmond, you really need to get to the Landmark to see it! I couldn't help but sing along and wish for the days of show choir again! Here are a few pictures! Meghan, if you are reading this, I stole a few pics from FB :) Hope you don't mind!

Oh the memories!!! Love you guys!

Anyways- enough for all of the updates! Have 23 weeks pictures that I will download tonight and then upload! Here are the fun things:

Total Weight Gain/Loss: My scale is saying +6 lbs! So I am happy with that! I go to the doctor next week so that will be the true test :)

Gender: BOY OH BOY!

Sleep: It has actually been really good! Poor Aaron- I fall asleep around 9 every night and sleep until 7. The bathroom breaks are even better as I TRY not to drink after 8! I have been so worn out that I just pass out at night!

What I miss: My belly button! It has suddenly taken on a new shape and I was always an
in-ey and now its trying to hard to be an out-ey and I just want it to go back! LOL

Cravings: Hamburgers! And Mint Chocolate Chip ice Cream (thanks a lot JP)

Symptoms: Nothing out of the ordinary! Everything is really going good! I really cannot complain as this has been an amazingly easy pregnancy! I think Aaron might agree... I might get a few "hormonal moods" but I think I keep those under wraps pretty good :) He is so good to me!

Maternity Clothes: Oh yes! Most every day! But they are SO much more comfortable!

Best Moment this week: Getting the Nursery ready! AND Aaron and I have decided on a name for Baby Campbell!!!!! However, we are not ready to release it just yet! You know me, I have to think of a FUN way to do that! Its REALLY fun having our own little secrets! However, we LOVE the name and couldn't be happier with it!

Will post pictures of 23 weeks tonight and update after my doctors appointment next week! Until then, take care :)

Movement: Lots! This little guy moves like CrAzY!

Anything Like Me

I heard this song on my lunch break and hadn't heard it in a while, but made me really happy thinking how Aaron would get to share these things with our little boy! So excited :)

Have a great day :)

20 & 21 Weeks!

Snips, Snails & Puppy Dog Tails, That's What
Little BOYS Are Made Of! :)

So I know that I am a horrible blog slacker! Life has been more hectic then even my normal! We had our Gender Reveal Party almost 2 weeks ago and I have yet to update! I am sorry! As many of you saw on Facebook, its a BOY!!!! And we are over the moon excited! Aaron and I both thought that it was a boy, but to cut the clue cake just confirmed it. Aaron is so excited to have a son he can hardly stand it. He definitely has the Daddy Glow now :)

Its hard to see the BLUE, but its there!!!

The CAKE! Yummmmmyyyyy!!!! :)

And My FAVORITE picture, if only Aaron's head wasn't cut off (my mom got so excited, she couldn't snap the picture fast enough!)

Can you tell Aaron was excited...probably not too much! LOL

Anyways, the party was definitely a hit with family! We had a great time and I hope to have more pictures once I get them uploaded! I have already thought of so many fun ideas for baby #2 in the coming years :) There was so much excitement when we cut the cake! It was like we were at a football field with cheers! And then the funniest of all was my adorable niece Waverley. She is 3, almost 4. She was DETERMINED that this baby was a girl and she was decked out in pink to prove it! When we cut the cake, she boohoo-ed because she wanted a girl. She is excited now but it was actually really cute that night! Carson is excited to not be the only boy anymore!

So on top of all of that, we also had Lindsey's Bridal Shower the next Sunday! We had a wonderful turnout and she got lots of wonderful gifts! Her wedding is on October 29th and I am so excited for her and Trey! She will be a beautiful bride!!! :) And I am honored to get to stand up with her. (baby belly and all)

This past Friday, we moved my cousin Matthew out from our house to his new place. Its super nice and I think that he will really enjoy it! We miss him already and his dog Kane (and Ruger misses Kane too!) but we are excited for Matthew's new military adventure :)

Ruger & Kane were best buddies for 4 months!

This past Saturday and Sunday, I finally decided to tackle the nursery!!! WOW! I don't even know where to begin. There is so much that I want to do and trying to make all of the right decisions! Aaron's parents bought us the crib blanket that I have had my eye on for months! I am so excited!

(Disclaimer: Michael is NOT the name we have chosen! Its just what's in the pic online :) )

We are going to do a nautical/sailboat theme with this pattern! I am very excited to see everything come together! In my perfect little world- I hope to have everything done by Thanksgiving so that I can enjoy the holidays with family :) I have been working on some nursery projects/crafts and will share them in the next blog post! I need to upload all of my pictures to show off!

Now for the belly bump pictures!

20 Weeks!

21 Weeks!

We had our ultrasound and doctors appointment on September 21st. Everything was PERFECT! We have a perfectly healthy baby boy! Very exciting. We did not do any of the genetic testing early on and so I was a little nervous going in, but everything was great. He is super stubborn already, but that's ok. He fits right in with his momma! The tech got the gender pics right away however he didn't want to show his face to us at all. It took about 45 minutes of shaking my belly, turning me, and pushing to get him to finally look at the camera. He did it for about 20 seconds and was turned around again. He is a shy little stinker! But the tech was wonderful and grabbed the pictures that she needed super quick before he turned! Whew!

Momma is perfectly healthy as well. I have only gained 5 lbs the entire pregnancy and the doctor was very pleased with my blood pressure and weight so that's a relief! I am sure I will start to pack on some pounds in the coming weeks, but for now, I will take it!

Also, after my last post, I felt my first kick! We were in church on September 18th and all of a sudden I felt a thud and it was funny because it was during a clip of the new movie Courageous which is a lot about being a good father along with other things. I wasn't sure what it was so I didn't say anything to Aaron until after we left. Then the next day I felt it all again and he was able to sit with me and feel him kick too! So very cool!!!! Now, he dances ALL the time!!! He loves music. At church every Sunday during the worship time, he is turning flips and clapping I think because my stomach moves constantly! Its so much fun to feel him! He is an amazing little miracle!

Now for the stats :)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +5 lbs as of my 20 week appointment :) I will take it!

Gender: Sweet little BOY!

Movement: LOTS of it!!! He loves to dance to music! HAHA

Sleep: Actually was really bad for a couple weeks and its starting to get much better. If I don't drink anything after dinner, I can normally sleep through the whole night! WOO HOO! I have so many pillows around me at night that it looks like I'm in a pillow fort! Poor Aaron! LOL

What I miss: Nothing right now! I told Aaron that I am finally feeling great and really enjoying being pregnant! I cannot wait until February, but am enjoying everything about it right now!

Cravings: Hamburgers! Big juicy hamburgers with all of the toppings! I have had 3 in the last week! HAHA I am sure that will add to the pounds! :) But they were oh so yummy!

Symptoms: Nothing at all really. I have felt great the last few weeks. Been fighting a cold type thing, but nothing too bad!

Maternity Clothes: Pretty much everything I wear is maternity! A couple of my regular things fit, but why be uncomfortable!

Best Moment this week: Finding out the baby was a BOY and then everyday feeling him kick!

What's Next?: Hopefully in the next week or two, we will reveal the name that we have picked out for sweet Baby Campbell!

See you at 22 weeks!

Sunday, September 18, 2011

19 Weeks!

The bump is finally there!!! :) And Growing!!!

The dogs wanted to be in the picture too!!!

Well this has been a great week! I am feeling pretty good! Not too much to post, but will do a full update on Wednesday after our ultrasound and then a great post on Thursday to let you know if its a boy or girl! Our Gender Reveal Party is on Thursday and we are SO excited!!! Cannot wait to find out what our little bundle of joy is going to be!!!!!!

On another note, I THINK that I felt some movement today! In church :) I have a hard time telling but it felt like 2 little jabs at my gut! HAHA So hopefully it was and it will continue!

See you on Wednesday night after my doctors appointment! Praying for healthy baby Campbell!!!! :)

Have a great week!

-Kristin

16, 17 & 18 Weeks!!!!

 17 Weeks!!

18 Weeks & at the BEACH!

OK! So we all know that I am super behind in posting about this baby! However, I think that we have caught up now! LOL This will consist of weeks 16 through 18 and then I will post tomorrow for 19 weeks since I need to take that picture tonight! I cannot believe how fast time has flown by! In 1 more week, we will know what our little one will be AND I will be halfway through this pregnancy!!! We are starting to get really excited for next week! Aaron swears its a boy and I am undecided only because I have thought both at different times in the pregnancy! I guess we will see! Either way its a 50/50 chance! HA!

My doctor's appointment is on Wednesday next week, but we will not find out the sex until we have our Gender Reveal party with our family on Thursday! I will deff. post pictures and things from that as it should be a lot of fun!!! We can hardly wait to know!!! Then... the shopping will BEGIN!!! I have already eyed a few things that I think I must have!

As far as the nursery, we have a couple of ideas picked out and the furniture is all ordered!!! YAY! That was a huge relief! We also have a mattress ordered and we were given our new stroller/carseat travel system! YAY!!! This was by far Aaron's only request that he like the stroller! And we both love it! Here is a picture of it! We cannot wait to unpack it but for now, we will keep it in the box! We love it because we really wanted a jogger, but we just do not have the storage to keep a jogger and a travel system! Soo here is the next best thing! A travel system that works while they are an infant and then a jogger when they get bigger! YAY!

I think that is about all for now! I will post the 19 week post tomorrow! Then OPERATION CLEAN THE CAMPBELL HOUSE OUT starts on Saturday!!! After the BIG baby yardsale of course!

We are starting to clean out and organize! Anyone who knows me, knows that I like to stay organize, however my nesting instinct has hit BIG TIME and we are cleaning house!!!!! I cannot wait! HAHA!

Now for the stats :)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: officially only about +1, but I am thinking that may change next week when I go to the doctor... I am thinking about +2 or 3!

Gender: Only 8 more days til we know! What's YOUR guess? :)

Movement: None yet- at least I don't think... its really hard to tell if its gas or the babe! LOL So I am waiting to confirm...

Sleep: Starting to get uncomfortable... I am a stomach sleeper and so I have had a really hard time adjusting to my side... and I have to get up at least 2-3 times each night. Oh well. Preparing me for being up all the time with baby!

What I miss: Still just an Italian sub and a regular Pepsi! That was my request for my mom that I want at the hospital.

Cravings: Nothing really- just FOOD! I feel like I eat constantly!!! I am always hungry and nothing satisfies me but I try to fill my tummy with healthier foods!

Symptoms: Starting to have a little bit of back pain, but the sciatic nerve problem has gone away! Thankfully! I will deal with the back pain any day over that!

Maternity Clothes: I don't need them really but have been wearing a couple of things because they are just SO much more comfy. I do have a pair of preggo jeans and OMG they are wonderful! No more snaps sticking into your gut.

Best Moment this week: Going away with Aaron to the beach! We had an amazing time. But looking forward to this week flying by so we can know what we are having next week!

Beach Trip!!!

OK! So I apologize for this HUGE delay in blogging! It has been a CrAzY couple of weeks around here! But all is back to normal! Aaron and I went to the Outer Banks on Thursday for a MUCH needed long weekend together- just the 2 of us! It was so much fun and SO relaxing!!!!! We didn't do much of anything but sleep, eat at our favorite restaurants and sit on the beach! The beach was crazy though! Because of all of the storms recently, the beach was very different then it had ever been other times we went. There was an awful undertow and the waves were 8 to 10 feet tall!!! The surfers were loving it though! We really enjoyed watching them ride the waves. :)

Friday night we were to Captain's George's Seafood because we had always heard how good it was. We were not impressed! It was okay, but not worth the money! So the next night, we went to my favorite, Barefoot Bernies! Its a Caribbean tropical kinda restaurant and it was as good as ever!!!! They have the BEST Maryland Hot Crab Dip!!! Yummmmmyyyy!!!

Other then that, we just hung out on the beach each day! It was so relaxing and a great mini vacation! Now we are ready for the Fall and all things BaBy!!!

I have all of my pictures of the bump to upload tonight and will do a catch-up Baby post tomorrow!

But for now, here are some pictures that we took at the beach.

See you tomorrow!

This is the beach house that we stayed in! BEACH BOX :)

I wish that I could have captured a picture to show you how tall the waves were!!!

The Sunset over the Sound was beautiful on Friday night!
