Back to Blogging... 16 Months Later!

You probably thought that I would never return! I have to say that after having Colton and the fun whirlwind that surrounds a new baby, I found less and less time to blog! BUT have no fear, I am back! And happy to post that we are now expecting babies #2 & #3! Yes! We are having twins! We were so excited when we found out that we were expecting! Aaron and I had always our kids to be close and to grow up together. And then we went for the ultrasound! Holy Moly! What a surprise we had when the tech told us that we were having TWINS!!! Not to mention that we were the 3rd set to come out of that room that day! (and it was only 10:30AM!!!) I will never forget Aaron's reaction for as long as I live! It was priceless and he was nothing short of shocked! LOL I just laughed to keep myself from crying. Not crying because I was sad, but because there was a flood of emotions with the news. I would go from a mom of a 15 month old to a mom of 3 under the age of 2! However, we know that God will not give us more then we can handle, and we are thankful to Him for these precious gifts. Colton is a pure joy to have and I can only imagine how much fun we will have watching all 3 of them grow up! As the week went on after we found out, there were lots of worries- space issues, financial issues, how are we going to do this issues, and concerns for my health and theirs! But as we progress along, each week gets easier and each week gets better! Colton moved into a big boy bed in his new room and LOVES it! It was the smoothest transition I could have ever asked for! And the nursery is coming along nicely. It is going to be very simple as I will need room to move around with two of them but I am totally fine with that! I learned after having Colton that less is more! :) Each week we become more excited and anxious to meet these little pumpkins. And Colton is excited too! You ask him where his babies are and he kissed my tummy! Melts my heart. It is flying by already and hard to believe that they will be here before we know it!

Here are a few stats for the week! I will post pictures next week when I get everything uploaded! :)

Weekly Stats!

*What I am looking forward to: A weekend away with Aaron! We are going to NC for a wedding and I am excited to get to spend a weekend with hubby! They will be few and far between so it should be fun!
*Nausea/Vomiting? Finally gone! Whew! The first 13 weeks were ROUGH! But we are in the clear!

Well it has been WAAAYYY too long, even for me, to go without posting. However I am very excited that I now have an awesome new camera that I can post pictures easily so will PROMISE to keep this updated from here on out because we only have 6 weeks left!!!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! We had a great time with ours and enjoyed the few days off from work!

So first for some pictures, then some updates!

30 Weeks

31 Weeks

32 Weeks

So LOTS of things have happened since my last post! The most fun of course was that I had 2 beautiful baby showers!!! I will do a post on those later this week after I finish uploading the pictures! They were wonderful and Colton and I were showered with lots of wonderful things! I cannot wait for him to be here so that I can dress him up in every outfit that we have received!

I also have been going to my regular doctors appointments and they decided at 28 weeks that we would do another ultrasound at 32 weeks to make sure that Colton was growing accordingly since I have not gained a lot of weight. Well I was nervous at first and then I was excited because I realized that we could see him one last time before he is born! So Aaron and I went on December 15th to the last ultrasound and he measured perfectly!!! He was 4.9 pounds and in the 60th percentile which the doctor was very pleased with! I was so relieved and have started gaining a pound here and there, so that makes everything a little better! Here is a picture from the ultrasound that you can kind of see his face. He is adorable! (although I am slightly biased!) He is squished a little, but still love it :)

On another note, the "nesting" was in FULL swing and I have cleaned out EVERY closet and room in our entire house! The house has been completely repainted and changed and I am sooo excited that everything is DONE! I think that now I can enjoy these last couple weeks with no major projects to do around the house! AND the nursery will be DONE as soon as the Christmas tree comes down! It is actually done now, but it has the pack and play and stroller in there until we make room in the living room! I couldn't be happier with the nursery and will have a big reveal post on it hopefully by the weekend! I wanted to thank my bestie Amanda for coming over 2 times in the last 2 weeks to help me organize all of Colton's clothes and things! I was so overwhelmed because there was so much stuff! So she came over and helped me and we were able to get it all done AND all of the big stuff put together! So thanks a bunch! I couldn't have done it without you!

I think that is all for now, at least that I can think of! There will be more this week along with another doctors update on Thursday and pictures for 33 and 34 weeks! :)

Now for the Stats!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Total gained of 14 pounds, but only weigh 4 pounds more then when I got pregnant since I lost 10 the first 3 months!

Gender: SWEET BABY BOY!!!!

Movement: Lots! He doesn't kick as much as he used to, but he rolls all the time. He has this new thing where he gets behind my belly button and it makes me cringe because it feels so weird! HA!

Sleep: Not so great :/ I did sleep last night but I think that I was exhausted because I had not slept the last 5 nights! Hopefully this will get better, but at least I will be ready for sleepless nights when he arrives!

What I miss: Being able to shave my legs and put on my boots. HAHA! That is now a thing of the past.

Cravings: Nothing really! I did enjoy a big jar of cherries from my Grandma this Christmas and that was super yummy and made me want more!

Symptoms: Everything has been pretty good. I have to say that Aaron and I both decided the other night that we are ready for me to not be pregnant! Not to say that is hasn't been wonderful, (because I have been blessed with a VERY EASY pregnancy!!!)  but I am starting to get uncomfortable and am really anxious for Colton's arrival! I know that I will miss not being pregnant but I just want to hold that sweet baby!

Maternity Clothes: EVERYDAY!!! And I have really been into leggings!!! They are the MOST comfortable thing for preggos! Love them!

Best Moment this week: Realizing that we have 6 weeks left and only 3 until term!!! So excited and READY for him to make his debut!

Big Fat Happy Dance!!!!

So I just talked to my doctor's nurse and I PASSED my glucose test!!!! Not sure what happened with the first one, but its all worth it to be able to know that me and Colton are healthy! So what this means: I can eat whatever I want at Thanksgiving and I can eat the sweets at my baby shower on Saturday AND I can eat a pumpkin pie that I am making tonight! It's the little things :)

I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving with their families! We have SO much to be thankful for this year! I will post a full update with the baby shower and holiday on Monday! Have a great weekend!!!
